Celebrating the Derbyshire heritage of two bespoke builds

There’s no greater testament to our dedication and passion than repeat custom. That’s been the case for our relationship with Howard Homes; a Derbyshire based, multi award-winning developer that specialises in heritage structures. We were proud to recently work closely with their team on two stand-out architectural projects: Bramley Barn and The Old Dairy.

Quality and expertise above everything else

For clients seeking timeless architectural designs, Howard Homes is often the first choice. Working as a united team of highly skilled professionals, this developer lends its expertise in design, construction and restoration to create breathtakingly unique homes. And because (like us) quality is at the heart of everything they do, working together on multiple bespoke builds feels like the natural fit.

Architectural beauty in the heart of Derbyshire

Howard Homes has a deep passion for preserving the essence of historic properties while enhancing their potential for modern living. This was especially key with both projects.

Bramley House is located within the tranquil village of Findern, Derbyshire. Complete with a traditional village green, this setting is quintessentially English. While The Old Dairy is similarly located in picturesque Melbourne, a Georgian town with a rich history.

The vision for Bramley House was to deliver a high quality bespoke new build while taking a sympathetic approach influenced by the traditional farmhouse aesthetic of the adjacent property. Similarly, because The Old Dairy was a former milking parlour it was essential to achieve harmony between airy, open plan living and authentic character.

Where passion and preservation meet innovation

From the moment we received the briefs, we were instantly captivated by these inspiring properties.

After thoughtfully considering our product range we were able to recommend foward-thinking solutions that aligned with the Howard Homes values: exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and of course, the use of premium materials.

Therefore, for these projects we chose:

  • French Doors and French Doors with sidelights.
  • Double Glazed Softwood Windows with hardwood sills using monkey tail handles
  • Glazed Curved Feature Screens
  • Entry Doorsets
  • Stable doorsets
  • External Timber Bifolding Doors

All products were Factory Finished in RAL7044 Silk Grey; a soft, uplifting shade that strikes a harmonious balance between contemporary and classic. Perfectly matching the original design vision.

Demonstrating aligned values to build long term relationships

Howard Homes is composed of skilled architects, project managers and tradespeople who have years of experience working on projects of different sizes and complexities. This is something we see reflected in the expertise of our own team, and most likely the reason we’re able to work so cohesively with Howard Homes on an array of projects.

“As a repeat customer of Fenea, I’d describe their team as organised, professional and reliable. Good communication and a problem-free product made for a smooth build process. We also value the fact that they supply the perfect products needed for the type of heritage property conversions we specialise in.” Oliver Howard, Howard Homes.

We look forward to working with Howard Homes again, bringing together our teams to celebrate the charm and heritage of Derbyshire while breathing new life into already beautiful, historical properties.
