Supporting the Success of a New Development in Maulden, Bedfordshire

Following our previous project together, we were delighted to once again partner with Oak Developments on a new collection of properties in Bedfordshire.

For this project, we delivered high-quality, aesthetically pleasing and energy-efficient glazing solutions for their 25-plot Clophill Road community situated in Maulden. A site which encompasses everything from spacious family homes to contemporary apartments. Each requiring bespoke window, entrance door and bifold door installations.

Our commitment to product excellence and seamless project management ensured the successful completion of the build; contributing significantly to the modern appeal and marketability of these stunning new houses in Bedfordshire.

Building on the foundations
of an already solid partnership

Clophill Road’s mix of houses and apartments necessitated a variety of window styles, entrance door designs and bifold door configurations to suit different architectural aesthetics and functional needs.

We were selected to work with Oak Developments due to our proven track record in large-scale residential projects, extensive product range and commitment to customer service. And because we’ve worked with the team before, we were able to provide tailored options we knew would address all of Oak Developments’ requirements.

A region on the rise

Interestingly, Bedfordshire is emerging as a key area for development in the UK (not least because of the transformative impact of a new Universal theme park – the first of its kind in Europe).

Such a huge influx of creativity, commerce and opportunity is exciting; making new housing developments such as this essential as people flock to the area to live and work.

That does, however, mean more eyes watching for progress and more pressure to deliver a pristine finish that stands the test of time. As a result, Oak Developments were keen to work with a reliable and experienced supplier capable of providing the comprehensive glazing package required.

Quality, durability and aesthetic cohesion

Throughout the project, our technical team worked closely with Oak Developments from the early stages. This collaboration ensured accurate measurements, optimal product selection and precise specification of glazing units, hardware and finishes. In the end, Oak Developments opted for a full suite of products including:

High-Performance Windows
Grey out/White in uPVC windows, featuring multi-chambered profiles and low-emissivity (low-E) double glazing, achieving excellent U-values. Various styles were utilised, including casement, tilt & turn and fixed panes, customised to each property’s design.

Stylish Entrance Doors
A range of composite entrance doors, offering superior security features (multi-point locking systems) and a variety of contemporary and traditional colourways to complement the individual property styles.

Modern Bifold Doors
Quality aluminium bifold doors were required for ground floor properties, creating expansive openings that connect internal living spaces with outdoor areas. Designs were chosen for their smooth operation, slim sightlines and ability to maximise natural light.

We coordinated deliveries to the site, ensuring that products arrived precisely when needed, minimising on-site storage requirements and streamlining the installation process. Our experienced team member Oli also visited the site to check progress, ensure adherence to specifications and ensure quality benchmarks were met.

The products supplied have significantly contributed to the modern and aspirational aesthetic of the homes and apartments, providing ample natural light and easy indoor-outdoor living.
