Established in 2010, Oak Developments in Bedfordshire specialise in all things quality construction. From breath taking barn conversions to fully compliant multiphase developments, their builds consistently evoke a sense of both substance and style.

Their latest project? Planning permission to demolish an old Factory in Park Road, Bedfordshire and establish a community of five 3-bedroom homes ideally nestled within the centre of Dunstable.

What made this project unique was that it would involve retaining some design features of the factory while capturing a contemporary look with a new build aesthetic. Our team was proud to be recommended to Oak Developments through our client Eurocell and couldn’t wait to begin recommending products.

This particular project is located in Dunstable, a charming market town in Bedfordshire, England. This area of the UK offers a rather pleasing blend of history and modern amenities, making it popular with developers and home buyers alike.

The town boasts a rich heritage, dating back to Roman times, and is home to the iconic Dunstable Downs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Oak Developments were required to follow strict conditions in terms of colour and style throughout the process with specific rules around obscure and satin glass in place. There was also set guidance around the height of windows which were required to be up to 1.7m in height with no opening casements below 1.7m.

Fortunately, our in-house experts were able to comply with this; suggesting the Linear Profile Collection which Oak Developments were more than happy with. Our knowledge and expertise paired with Oak Developments passion for creating stylish homes is the perfect match. As a result, we’re now delighted to potentially work with this client again on a larger scheme which is still in progress.

After selecting Linear Profile Windows and UPVC French doors (anthracite grey on the outside and white on the inside) along with super-robust composite front doors, delivery and installation went smoothly and the development is now complete.
